WHA Executive Director Message:

August 27, 2021

Dear Wellesley Housing Authority,

Today is a day filled with mixed emotion. I am writing to the Wellesley Housing Authority community to express my gratitude and to say thank you to everyone who has helped me grow as Public Housing professional, while in the same breath, notifying the Wellesley Housing community that I will be leaving Wellesley Housing to become the next Executive Director at the Norwood Housing Authority.

I would like to thank you, the residents, and the board of commissioners at the Wellesley Housing Authority for granting me the opportunity to become the first dedicated Executive Director for Wellesley Housing in over a decade.

From day one, I have felt the support from the WHA Community. The WHA staff specifically made me feel welcome as I transitioned to this role and supported me as I began making difficult decisions in our transition away from Needham.

My time in Wellesley has not only led to professional growth, but personal growth as well. I owe the Wellesley Housing Authority so much for the experiences granted to me, and those experiences have made me a better person. It has been an honor to be your
Executive Director for the past 2 years.

October 8, 2021 will be my last day at Wellesley Housing Authority. This was a difficult decision to make, but having grown up in Norwood, started my housing career in Norwood, and still being a current Norwood resident, I believe this opportunity is too good to pass up.

I have learned so much, grown so close to the staff and the board, and the endless amount of support that has been given to me as a new Executive Director can never be understated.

I can definitively say that Wellesley Housing Authority has shaped my life, both personally and professionally, and the lessons I have learned will guide me in the future. I hope to see as many residents as I can before I leave. Thank you again to everyone at Wellesley Housing Authority. I will miss you all!

WHA Executive Director Message:

Dear Residents,

I reach out to you today to notify you that Pam Meehan, the Resident Services Coordinator, will be taking medical leave immediately. The time frame for Pam to return is undecided. We are planning for Pam to be out for at least one month, if not longer.

The Wellesley Housing Authority will be working in conjunction with the Town of Wellesley social workers to maintain our residents’ services. If you need assistance, please reach out to Jacqueline Sullivan jsullivan@wellesleyhousing.org so she can coordinate with you.
