WHA Deputy Director Message:

November 5, 2021

Dear Residents,

Please join the Wellesley Housing Authority staff and Board of Commissioners in extending best wishes to Bob Anderson. After 40 years of dedicated service to the Wellesley Housing Authority, he will be retiring as a maintenance team member. Bob is setting his sights on a well-deserved retirement and spending more time with his recently retired wife and their family.

Bob began his career in March of 1981 as maintenance labor. In 1993 he led the CETA program, which was a mentoring program for teenagers at WHA. Together, they beautified the exterior of Barton Road while learning valuable skills from the maintenance team. Bob was also a vital member of the 1999 redevelopment of Barton Road. He continued to learn and grow within his career, ultimately becoming the maintenance supervisor in the fall of 2003. Under his leadership, the team has navigated significant changes and advancements in maintenance and the public housing industry.

Bob has been an integral part of our business, and his vision will always be valued and remembered. His hard work and dedication to WHA are worthy of our appreciation. December 31, 2021 will be his last day at the Wellesley Housing Authority. All of us will miss Bob and will never forget his contributions to our housing authority. Please join us in wishing him the best in his retirement.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Sullivan
Deputy Director
